Job Title: Sales Manager

Location: Mumbai

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead and grow our Commercial business in India. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and strengthening customer and distributor relationships across assigned territories and market segments.

Working at the intersection of strategy, customer engagement, and people leadership, you will translate commercial objectives into actionable sales plans, coach and develop Territory Sales Managers, and ensure consistent execution of global and regional go‑to‑market strategies. This is a hands‑on leadership role requiring close collaboration with Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, and regional Commercial leadership to deliver sustainable, profitable growth.

What you will do:

  • Define and execute territory and market segment strategies in alignment with regional and global commercial objectives.
  • Drive achievement of annual and quarterly sales targets, ensuring profitable growth across assigned customers and channels.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Territory Sales Managers, setting clear expectations and providing ongoing performance feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and strategic partners, acting as a trusted commercial advisor.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics, translating insights into actionable sales and account plans.
  • Coordinate closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure effective execution of customer commitments.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates for senior commercial leadership.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in sales management within pharmaceuticals, life sciences, chemicals, or related industries.
  • Strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets through structured territory and account management.
  • Demonstrated people‑leadership capability, including coaching, motivation, and performance management of sales teams.
  • Solid understanding of market segmentation, pricing, negotiation, and customer value proposition development.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and regions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Science, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is an advantage.
  • Business‑level fluency in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.
