Job description

Job Title: Assistant Manager, Logistics

Location: Rewari, India

We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Logistics to lead and coordinate end-to-end logistics and shipping operations that ensure the timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of materials and finished goods. In this role, you will partner with Customer Service, Planning, Warehouse, Sales, Transporters, Freight Forwarders, and Customs partners to support business requirements and customer commitments.

Working at the intersection of supply chain execution, transportation management, and trade compliance, you will drive operational excellence across domestic and international logistics activities while supporting continuous improvement, cost optimization, and digitalization initiatives.

What you will do:

  • Plan and execute day-to-day logistics and shipping activities in line with customer requirements, dispatch priorities, and business objectives.

  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Planning, Warehouse, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure timely shipment execution and customer deliveries.

  • Manage vehicle planning, freight booking, shipment consolidation, route selection, and shipment tracking to achieve service, productivity, and cost targets.

  • Coordinate shipment loading and dispatch readiness while ensuring compliance with product handling, transportation, safety, and quality requirements.

  • Ensure timely closure of transportation documentation, proof of delivery (POD) tracking, and resolution of shipment-related exceptions and claims.

  • Manage freight forwarding, customs clearance, and import/export documentation activities while ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Ensure shipping documentation accuracy and compliance with applicable Customs, DGFT, FEMA, Incoterms, and company requirements.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in logistics, transportation, shipping, warehousing, and supply chain operations.

  • Strong understanding of dispatch planning, freight management, shipment documentation, and logistics execution processes.

  • Experience working with transporters, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers.

  • Working knowledge of import/export operations, Customs regulations, DGFT requirements, Incoterms, and trade compliance practices.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.

  • Experience monitoring logistics KPIs, freight costs, transportation performance, and service provider effectiveness.

  • Proficiency with SAP ERP systems (SD/MM preferred), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and logistics reporting tools.

  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
