DIMENSIONS OF THE ROLE: AGIP Business Development and Operations Coordinator
The Business Development and Operations Coordinator will play a critical dual role in supporting the growth and effective functioning of the AGIP coalition. The position combines resource mobilization support with core Secretariat coordination, helping to strengthen AGIP's sustainability and operational delivery of its 2025-2027 Strategy.
Situated within the AGIP Secretariat, the Business Development and Operations Coordinator will liaise across AGIP's membership, Girl Advisors, external partners/funders and service providers.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Business development
The Coordinator will support the generation of new funding opportunities and partnerships for AGIP by:
- Conducting prospect research to identify potential funders, partners, and strategic opportunities
- Tracking and following up on funding leads and engagement opportunities and creating, maintaining and updating fundraising tracking pipelines
- Leading the drafting of pitch materials, concept notes, and proposals, including narrative inputs and coordination across partners
- Supporting budget development for funding proposals
- Coordinating input from coalition members to strengthen collaborative funding approaches
2. Secretariat support
The Coordinator will provide essential operational and coordination support to ensure the effective functioning and delivery of the AGIP Secretariat, including:
Grant management support
- Supporting on contracting of sub-grantee partners
- Supporting grant management processes, including tracking deadlines, reporting milestones, and documentation
- Assisting with grant administration tasks (while overall accountability remains with the Programme Manager)
Service and payment coordination
- Coordinating contracting/Terms of Reference and invoicing processes with service providers
- Supporting Youth Engagement and Advocacy Expert with payments to AGAC Girl Advisors and their organisations
Meeting and planning support
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings, workshops, and events
- Supporting with the preparation of meeting materials, and circulating them
- Tracking and following up on actions and decisions from meetings
- Maintaining organized records of key documents and communications
General Secretariat support
- Providing administrative support to enable delivery of AGIP's strategy and priorities
- Supporting Secretariat members with ad hoc requests as needed and appropriate
- Helping ensure efficient communication and workflow within the Secretariat
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in business development, fundraising in a non-profit/social impact context
- Knowledge of the gender equality/girls rights funding ecosystem
- Experience supporting proposal development and budgeting processes
- Familiarity with grant management and donor reporting processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across diverse, international stakeholders
- Experience working with a coalition or network is a bonus
