HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT:

The District Sales Manager is responsible for managing dealer activities within the specified territory to develop a sustainable dealer organization capable of achieving Woods Equipment Company’s growth objectives.  Activities will include achieving sales objectives, signing new dealers, developing existing dealers, market representation, implementing sales strategies, dealer support programs, training, advertising and promotion, reporting, and account administration.

 

LOCATION: 

  • This position will work remotely out of a home office in the San Antonio, Houston or Dallas-Fort Worth area.  Territory: Texas

 

THE DETAILS:

  • Develop and execute a business plan to achieve short and long-term territory growth objectives
  • Recruit new dealers/customers and improve and strengthen relationships and volume with current dealers/customers
  • Act as liaison between company and customer
  • Handle customer problems and complaints
  • Effectively and efficiently educate, train and promote the company’s products, programs and specials to dealers
  • Demonstrate products at customer locations, job sites, trade shows, and as requested or needed
  • Participate in farm shows, dealer open houses, and other events to support, promote, and represent the Agriculture & Turf business
  • Maintain Customer Relationship Management tool with accurate up-to-date dealer information, appointments, contact information, call reports, weekly reports and any other necessary information

  

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience
  • 3-5 years proven successful sales history, experience with a full selling process required
  • Experience selling in a Business to Business; Manufacturer to Dealer relationship preferred
  • Experience in the Agriculture industry a plus
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to express oneself clearly and in technical and non-technical terms
  • Sets a good example of personal integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Able to operate remotely from a home office setting; residence within the territory is required
  • Available to travel as required – 75%; eligible for domestic and international travel up to two weeks in duration

 

At Oregon Tool, we provide a reasonable, good-faith estimate of the compensation range for this role of $98,000 - $110,000. Final offers are based on various factors such as experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity. This range may vary based on geographic location where the position is filled, and most new hires are not typically hired at the top of the range.
