LAND MOBILE RADIO REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

**This position is a Remote position**

 

Reporting to the VP Sales-LMR for the Communications Sector of JVCKENWOOD USA CorporationThe LMR Regional Sales Manager plans, directs, trains, and coordinates manufacturer’s representatives and organizations engaged in the sale and promotion of Company products within a specified region.    Develops and coordinates the implementation of regional sales promotion, advertising, training, and merchandising programs.  Gathers information on regional competitive activity and overall market conditions for Land Mobile and Kenwood Systems, Inc.

 

Essential Duties:

  1. Plans, directs, trains and coordinates manufacturers representative organizations engaged in the sale and promotion of designated Company products within an assigned region covering a specified geographical area.
  2. Conducts on-site visits of dealer organizations to determine competitive activity within the area covered, review status of current sales to resolve problems, and to ensure that marketing goals are achieved.
  3. Consult with other JKUSA Departments such as R & D, Service, and Credit to resolve problems and coordinate efforts.
  4. Oversee the sales efforts of the manufacturer representatives for the region. 
  5. Develops and coordinates advertising, sales training, and sales promotional activity within the region to promote the sale of Company products including trade show preparation and attendance.
  6. Projects future business activity and participates in the development of the marketing plan covering the assigned product group and for its implementation within the region.
  7. Prepares sales reports and analyzes and interprets variations in sales forecasts and quotas and actual sales.
  8. Plans and conducts periodic sales meetings to educate, train, and stimulate sales production.
  9. Develop, implement and manage the budget for the territory.
  10. Travel – up to 50%

 

Knowledge and Skills

  1. College degree or directly related, equivalent experience, plus five years’ experience in the Land Mobile Radio Industry.
  2. Must have in-depth knowledge of dealer sales management techniques including merchandising, selling strategies, inventory management, and advertising.  Also required are the knowledge of the assigned product group, and the dynamics of the regional environment.
  3. Must have highly developed written and verbal sales skills and be able to organize and implement sales programs within a specified region.

 

Working Relationships

Reporting to the VP Sales - LMR for the Safety & Security Sector of JVCKENWOOD USA Corporation, daily interaction with Company departments such as Administration, Finance, Warehouse, R & D, and Service to resolve administrative problems. Coordinates with manufacturer representatives, after market vendors, dealers, and advertising agencies to coordinate sales programs within a large region.

 

Problem Solving and Decision Making

Deals with product availability problems and finds creative solutions to problems; Interfaces with R & D and Service to resolve technical problems.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

1.         Works in a general office environment.

2.         Duties and responsibilities performed do not include special physical requirements other than sitting, standing, walking and the repetitive use of hands.  Some exposure to CRT radiation.

3.         Extensive automobile and air travel.
