🎯 Mission & Core Purpose

Your mission is to grow and protect iubenda’s recurring revenue by proactively engaging customers, preventing churn, and unlocking expansion opportunities across our product suite. As our Growth Sales Development Representative (Retention & Expansion), you’ll work at the intersection of Sales, Customer Success, and Growth. You’ll identify customers who need support selecting the right solution and turn product usage signals into meaningful conversations that drive retention and upsell. You’ll play a key role in building scalable, data-driven retention motions that help customers succeed and grow with iubenda.


💼 Key Responsibilities

- Conversion, Expansion & Growth Motions

  • Identifying and qualifying conversion, upsell, and cross-sell opportunities within the existing free and paying customer base;

  • Educating customers on additional features, higher plans, or complementary products;

  • Generating a qualified expansion pipeline and handing off opportunities to Sales or Account Executives;

  • Supporting lifecycle and expansion campaigns with targeted outreach and follow-up;

  • Partnering with Growth and Lifecycle Marketing on campaigns, messaging, and customer journeys;

  • Maintaining accurate CRM data, documenting conversations, outcomes, and customer feedback;

  • Testing and optimising outreach sequences, messaging, and engagement strategies.

- Customer Retention & Churn Prevention

  • Proactively reaching out to customers showing churn risk, low engagement, or product friction;

  • Re-engaging inactive or at-risk accounts through email, calls, and LinkedIn. o Understand customer needs and position the right plan, features, or products to retain them;

  • Collecting and sharing churn insights and objections with Customer Success, Product, and Growth teams.


- Analytics & Performance

  • Using CRM and product usage signals to prioritise accounts and actions;

  • Tracking outreach performance, retention impact, and expansion pipeline contribution;

  • Continuously improving processes based on data and feedback.

You’re a customer-centric, proactive communicator who enjoys helping users succeed while driving measurable revenue impact. You’re curious about customer behavior, comfortable with outreach via chat, phone, or video calls, and excited to work in a fast-growing SaaS environment where retention truly matters. You thrive in cross-functional setups, enjoy experimenting with messaging and approaches, and see churn prevention as a growth opportunity, not a support task.


💡 Experience & Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in Sales Development, Customer Success, Account Management, or Growth roles;

  • Excellent communication skills in English and in a second European language, preferably Italian, German or Spanish;

  • Comfortable engaging customers via email, calls, and LinkedIn;

  • Strong communication and listening skills, with a consultative mindset;

  • Data-driven approach and curiosity for product usage and lifecycle signals;

  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar preferred);

  • Ability to work autonomously in a remote, international team;

  • Experience in B2B SaaS is a strong plus;

  • Interest in privacy, compliance, or tech products is a bonus.
