Job Role: Offshore Estimator and Project admin - Flooring and window coverings (residential & Commercial) 

Compensation range: $2000 AUD / Monthly

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to require roughly 40 hours per week. As a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your schedule, but availability for occasional collaboration during AU business hours is preferred.

Who The Client Is:

 The client is a Sydney-based provider of premium flooring and window furnishing solutions for residential and commercial spaces. They offer a wide range of products including timber, hybrid, and vinyl flooring, as well as shutters and blinds. Known for their quality, professionalism, and tailored service, they deliver stylish and durable interior solutions from consultation to installation.

Role Overview: 

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Building Estimator with experience in the flooring industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately performing take-offs from 2D building plans using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Measure Square, as well as preparing detailed estimates and quotes in our accounting software, Micronet. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  1. Estimating & Quoting:
    • Perform take-offs using Adobe Acrobat Pro and Measure Square for various flooring and shutter projects.
    • Prepare detailed estimates and costings in Micronet based on project specifications and client requirements.
  2. Documentation & Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of estimates, quotations, and project documents in Google Sheets and SharePoint.
    • Prepare and present clear and concise quotes/tenders for project management and client communication.
    • Provide project documentation such as Sute Safety, product maintenance guides, warranty certificates
  3. Communication & Coordination:
    • Liaise with the onshore team via Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and WhatsApp to ensure project requirements and deadlines are met.
    • Attend regular meetings to provide updates on project progress and any issues that may arise.

Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in estimating for flooring projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro (especially the measuring tool) and Measure Square.
  • Experience using Micronet or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with an onshore team.


Work Arrangement & Expectations:

This is a remote role that may be set up as either an independent contractor engagement or via an Employer of Record (EOR), depending on client preferences and legal structure.

To ensure alignment and transparency, successful candidates will be expected to:

  • Be available for meetings and collaboration during core [AEST or PHT] business hours
  • Disclose any existing ongoing roles or client work
  • Reflect this engagement on their LinkedIn profile (clearly marked as “Independent Contractor” if not employed via EOR)
