Role: Software Engineer, Data Science Portfolio - New York - 100% Remote // Local Preferred

Pay Rate - $60-65/Hr

JOB DESCRIPTION - Software Engineer, Data Science Portfolio

WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Software engineering experience, ideally with exposure to ML systems
• Strong backend engineering skills (Python and Java preferred)
• Experience building APIs, services, and production systems
• Solid software engineering fundamentals:
· Git/Github Workflows
· Unit and Integration Testing
· CI/CD and multi environment deployments
· Code reviews
· OOP and good class/object design practices
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
• Ability to work closely with data scientists operations research engineers and product managers
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end with minimal oversight
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support mindset
• Bonus:
· Experience with Data Science ML or Operations Research (optimization, MIPs)
· Curious about machine learning concepts and eager to bridge the gap between research and production

REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Languages: Python

• Data Engineering No SQL Databases (Cosmos), Databricks, Real time data streaming - Message queues, stream and stateful processing
• MLOps / Dev Ops Docker
• Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines
• FastAPI / Flask
• Cloud & Infra Azure
• Any other cloud
• SE Fundamentals Git & version control
• Unit & integration testing
• Data structures & algorithms
• Fron End Good to have React/Angular
• Backend Backend skills - Rest API's.
