Job description

About Zaviant

Zaviant, based in Philadelphia, is a boutique consulting firm specializing in Data Security, Privacy, and Third-Party Risk Management. We help organizations design and implement forward-thinking solutions that protect data, support regulatory compliance, and enable long-term business success.

Position Overview

We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Consultant to join our growing team.

In this role, you'll work directly with clients to support the development and implementation of global privacy programs. This includes assisting with privacy assessments, regulatory gap analysis, policy documentation, and privacy technology configuration.

You'll have the opportunity to grow your skills across a wide range of industries and frameworks—while being mentored by experienced consultants and privacy leaders.

This is an ideal role for someone with foundational experience in privacy, security, or compliance who is ready to dive deeper into client work and expand their technical and regulatory expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of privacy program assessments, regulatory gap analyses, and risk evaluations.
  • Assist in the development of privacy documentation such as policies, notices, DPIAs, and records of processing.
  • Contribute to data mapping initiatives by helping clients identify and document personal data flows across systems and vendors.
  • Help configure and maintain privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc) to support use cases like cookie compliance, subject rights management, and consent tracking.
  • Research and summarize evolving data protection laws and help translate regulatory requirements into actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and senior consultants to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Participate in client calls, working sessions, and deliverable reviews.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in privacy, security, compliance, risk, or a related field. Prior consulting or client service experience is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of privacy regulations such as GDPR, CPRA, HIPAA, and GLBA.
  • Exposure to or interest in GRC/privacy tools like OneTrust, TrustArc, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail—especially when working across multiple projects.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly in both verbal and written formats.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Legal Studies, Business, or a related discipline
  • IAPP certifications (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM) are a plus or a strong desire to pursue them.
  • Growth mindset, strong work ethic, and a collaborative attitude.
