Role Overview We are looking for a highly organized and tech-savvy Legal Virtual Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to attorneys and legal staff across a multi-practice area law firm. This is a full-time, remote role suited to someone with a strong understanding of legal processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage high-volume administrative tasks efficiently and discreetly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule consultations, depositions, court appearances, and internal meetings

  • Handle high volumes of emails and correspondence on behalf of attorneys, ensuring timely and professional responses

  • Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents, letters, and forms as directed by attorneys

  • Maintain and organize digital client files and case records within the firm's case management system

  • Assist with client follow-ups, reminders, and general communication throughout the case lifecycle

  • Support billing and timekeeping processes by tracking attorney hours and preparing invoices

  • Conduct basic legal research and compile information as assigned by supervising attorneys

  • Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, and vendors to obtain documents and confirmations

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a legal virtual assistant, legal secretary, or legal administrative assistant

  • Solid understanding of legal terminology, court processes, and general law firm operations

  • Excellent written and spoken English with a polished, professional communication style

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive client and case information

  • Must have prior remote work experience, be fluent with remote collaboration tools and platforms (such as Slack, Zoom, Google Workspace, Asana, or similar), and have ideally worked with US or UK-based law firms. Applications without this experience will not be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with US law, legal procedures, and court systems is a strong advantage

  • Experience supporting attorneys in litigation, family law, immigration, or estate planning

  • Familiarity with legal case management platforms such as Clio, MyCase, or PracticePanther

  • Prior exposure to client intake, onboarding, or legal billing workflows

  • Understanding of e-filing requirements across state and federal court systems

Tools & Technology

  • Case management software (Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther, or similar)

  • Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs)

  • Slack, Zoom, and other remote collaboration tools

  • Document management and e-signature platforms
