Job description

Job Title: Billing Coordinator

Location: South Africa

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote

Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST)

Salary: Paid in South African Rand (ZAR)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all billing processes and insurance authorizations.
  • Submit new authorization requests and follow up on expiring authorizations.
  • Run monthly billing and authorization reports to ensure all records remain up to date.
  • Communicate daily with insurance payors regarding authorizations, claims, and billing inquiries.
  • Follow up on billed claims to ensure timely processing and payment resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to billing and insurance processes.
  • Assist with resolving claim discrepancies, denials, and billing issues.
  • Ensure all billing activities are completed accurately and within required timelines.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in billing coordination, medical billing, or insurance authorizations preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and follow-up abilities.
  • Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with insurance payors and claims processes is advantageous.
