Job description

Summary:

  • No direct patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and diagnose complex system problems, identify root cause, and solve the problem or escalate issues as necessary.
  • Plan, design, implement, maintain, and optimize applications.
  • Gather, validate, and translate complex technological requirements into design and development specifications.
  • Lead team projects, including scoping and triaging.
  • Collaborate with system users and IT professionals to evaluate, plan, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain systems.
  • Address technical issues during installation and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare, code, test, and debug complex programs.
  • Analyze, design, and build workflows to meet user needs.
  • Configure and integrate hardware with software products to meet client specifications.
  • Gather and analyze information to resolve incidents and troubleshoot problems.
  • Document design, application, and technical specifications.
  • Identify and clarify reporting needs with end users and work with report developers.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in the underlying data structure.
  • Partner with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve system problems and improve product performance.
  • Review documentation for complex upgrades and system updates.
  • Support end users and provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support.
  • Mentor team members for technical and customer support skills development.
  • Act as a project lead for complex projects.
  • Simplify complex workflows.
  • Assume on-call responsibilities as required.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of related experience is required.
  • Equivalency: An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required experience.
  • Certification(s): Epic certification in the primary application required within four (4) months of hire.
