Job description

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Observability Engineer with advanced expertise in Dynatrace administration and enterprise observability to lead initiatives across a hybrid cloud and microservices landscape. This individual will play a pivotal role in architecting telemetry solutions, building a scalable Observability Center of Excellence (CoE), and aligning observability strategies with critical operational and business KPIs. Candidates with experience in insurance, financial services, or other compliance-driven sectors are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Platform Engineering & Observability Frameworks
  • Architect, configure, and manage Dynatrace across multi-business environments.
  • Administer observability lifecycle operations, including onboarding, health validation, conversion assurance, and alerting protocols.
  • Design automated dashboards and reports aligned with enterprise service level objectives (SLOs) and business metrics.
2. Partner & Application Team Enablement
  • Lead enablement initiatives for application and infrastructure teams across varying levels of observability maturity.
  • Integrate observability into custom-built applications using telemetry instrumentation, tagging schemas, and automated insights.
  • Serve as a lead technical advisor for onboarding newly acquired companies into the enterprise observability model.
3. Observability Center of Excellence (CoE)
  • Define operating principles, governance models, and review frameworks for a scalable Observability CoE.
  • Establish and promote observability best practices across technology teams.
  • Create comprehensive documentation and training programs for centralized HUB staff and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Dynatrace administration, including custom dashboard creation and alert management
  • Deep understanding of microservices observability and integration with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with hybrid cloud monitoring, telemetry instrumentation, and tagging practices
  • Proven ability to develop and implement runbooks across heterogeneous environments
  • Strong automation skills with focus on SLO-based dashboards
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and scaling Observability Centers of Excellence
  • Successful onboarding and enablement of diverse application and infrastructure teams

Preferred Domain Experience:
  • Insurance, Banking, Financial Services, or other compliance-intensive sectors.
