Job description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Admin to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our organization's network infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in network hardware, software, and security to ensure the highest level of performance, availability, and security for our systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Monitor network performance and optimize configurations to ensure efficiency and security.
  • Perform regular network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of new network solutions to improve resilience and performance.
  • Provide technical support and training to junior technicians and other IT team members.
  • Conduct network assessments and document findings to improve system operations.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, best practices, and security policies.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and technological needs.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in network administration or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other enterprise networking equipment.
  • Proficiency in firewall management and network security practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools such as Wireshark, SolarWinds, or PRTG.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, Network+, or equivalent) preferred.
