Job description

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Remote API Developer to support our client in Richmond, VA in the financial sector that has seen some exponential growth, doubling their size, in the last year. This position can be worked remotely, but ideally the candidate would be within driving distance of the Richmond area to come on-site occasionally as needed. This role has the exciting opportunity to support critical data migration and integration initiatives, starting with a Salesforce implementation and evolving into broader API development and system integration projects. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

Requirements:
  • Extensive experience with API development and integrations, including RESTful APIs and microservices
  • Proven experience with ETL tools and data migrations
  • Extensive back-end development experience using Python and a combination of any front-end language
  • Extensive AWS experience
Desired:
  • Experience with MuleSoft for initial project (Salesforce bought MuleSoft)
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain APIs and system integrations for enterprise applications (including Salesforce and other CRMs/ERPs).
  • Lead ETL and data migration projects, ensuring data integrity and successful transfer between cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, resolve data quality issues, and deliver scalable integration solutions.
  • Develop and automate data synchronization processes using industry-standard tools and best practices.
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for data processing, integration logic, and API development.
  • Monitor, document, and optimize integration performance, supporting production deployments and troubleshooting as needed.
