Job Title: Origami P&C Architect
Location: Remote
Type: C2C/FTE

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Origami P&C Architect to lead the solution design and implementation of the Origami platform for Property & Casualty insurance carriers. The role will focus on building scalable solutions across Policy Administration, Claims, and Billing, while ensuring seamless integration with surrounding systems. The architect will partner with business leaders, product owners, and delivery teams to translate requirements into future-ready Origami solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Architecture & Design
  • Define target-state Origami architecture for P&C implementation programs.
  • Design data models, workflows, rating engines, and product configurations tailored to P&C lines of business.
  • Establish integration patterns with distribution platforms, financial systems, data warehouses, and third-party services (ISO, bureau feeds, payment gateways).
  • Implementation Leadership
  • Provide guidance on policy, claims, billing configuration in Origami, ensuring alignment with business rules and carrier needs.
  • Define migration strategies from legacy Client/Claims/Billing platforms to Origami.
  • Establish configuration standards, reusable assets, and best practices for the implementation team.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims, finance, and operations teams to validate solution designs.
  • Conduct architecture and design reviews with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for P&C capabilities within Origami.
  • Governance & Quality
  • Define solution roadmaps and guardrails for large-scale Origami transformations.
  • Perform design assurance to ensure scalability, maintainability, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Mentor Origami configuration specialists and developers.

Requirements
Must-Have Skills
  • 12+ years in Insurance Technology (P&C focus) with at least 5+ years of hands-on Origami experience.
  • Proven expertise in Policy, Claims, and Billing implementations on Origami.
  • Deep understanding of P&C products, coverages, rating, underwriting rules, and claims processes.
  • Experience designing complex product/rating structures and claims workflow automation in Origami.
  • Strong knowledge of integrations (APIs, Origami Connect, middleware, external data providers).
  • Experience with data migration from legacy systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience in commercial, specialty, and personal lines product implementations.
  • Familiarity with reinsurance, bureau/statistical reporting, and financial systems integration.
  • Exposure to other Client solutions (Guidewire, Duck Creek).
  • Cloud deployment/architecture experience (Azure, AWS).
