US Based -MS D365 Developer- Remote- 104K/yr or 80/hr (1099), No Travel

Summary:


Our client, a government consultancy in the healthcare space, seeks a 100% remote MS D365 Developer. This position offers flexible engagement options and may be structured as a full-time, part-time, contract, or 1099 role depending on candidate availability and project needs. The role is fully remote and carries no supervisory responsibilities. The position reports directly to the Director of Technology. Compensation will be determined based on experience, employment status, and market analysis.

Responsibilities:

Dynamics 365 Configuration and Development:

  • Configure, customize, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications to support enterprise workflows and operational automation.

  • Develop and maintain custom entities, forms, views, business rules, plugins, and workflows using Dataverse and supported development frameworks.

  • Support solution lifecycle activities including environment configuration, deployments, and ongoing enhancements.

Workflow Automation and Scheduling Logic:

  • Design and implement rules-based automation to support scheduling, routing, and exception handling using Power Automate and Dynamics-native capabilities.

  • Support both real-time and batch-based processing workflows with full auditability and traceability.

  • Implement escalation, override, and exception patterns aligned to operational requirements.

Power Platform Development:

  • Build and maintain Power Automate flows to orchestrate business processes, notifications, and integrations.

  • Develop Power Apps to support administrative configuration, operational workflows, and user interaction where needed.

  • Support Power BI datasets and dashboards to enable operational and performance reporting.

Microsoft AI and Intelligent Automation:

  • Leverage Microsoft AI capabilities, including AI Builder and Copilot Studio / AI Agents, to enhance workflows with decision support, pattern detection, or natural-language interaction.

  • Integrate AI-assisted features into production workflows with appropriate controls, transparency, and audit logging.

Integration and Data Management:

  • Support integrations between Microsoft Dynamics 365 and external systems using REST APIs, event-based patterns, and file-based exchanges (JSON, XML, CSV).

  • Monitor and support data ingestion, transformation, and validation processes to maintain data accuracy and consistency.

Security and Access Control:

  • Implement and maintain role-based security, access controls, and data protections within Microsoft Dynamics and Dataverse.

  • Support compliance with healthcare, privacy, and security requirements through proper configuration and monitoring.

Monitoring, Support, and Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor system health and performance, identifying and resolving issues impacting reliability or scalability.

  • Support testing activities including SIT, UAT, and production validation.

  • Participate in operational support, incident resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.

Documentation and Collaboration:

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation covering configurations, workflows, and integrations.

  • Collaborate closely with developers, architects, business analysts, and project managers to ensure successful delivery and operation of solutions.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience developing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 architecture, Dataverse, and solution customization.

  • Proficiency with Power Automate and Power Platform–based workflow orchestration.

  • Experience implementing complex business logic and automation beyond out-of-the-box functionality.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft AI tools such as AI Builder, Copilot Studio, or AI Agents.

  • Experience with system integrations and data management patterns.

  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Desirable (Not Required) Skills/Experience

  • PMP or SAFe certification

  • Prior military or DHA experience
