Adobe Commerce (Magento) Tech Lead

An Adobe Commerce (Magento) Tech Lead designs, implements, and maintains scalable e-commerce solutions, overseeing both frontend and backend development while mentoring developers. They bridge business requirements with technical architecture, driving platform upgrades (PHP 8.x, MySQL, Adobe Cloud), and ensuring high-performance code quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & Development: Architect and implement complex Adobe Commerce (Magento 2) solutions, including custom modules, API integrations, and PWA storefronts.
- Technical Leadership: Lead, mentor, and conduct code reviews for a team of frontend/backend developers to ensure high-quality code standards.
- Platform Maintenance: Execute platform upgrades, including migration to PHP 8.3/8.4 and transition to optimized caching systems like Valkey/Redis.
- System Optimization: Ensure platform security, scalability, and performance (using tools like Fastly CDN, MySQL optimizations).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary technical point of contact, translating business requirements into technical specifications and collaborating with PMs and QA.
- DevOps: Manage CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment, particularly within Adobe Commerce Cloud.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce development, with 2-3+ years in a lead role.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of PHP (8.x), MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Git.
- Architectural Skills: Strong understanding of EAV model, dependency injection, service contracts, and Adobe Commerce API.
- Infrastructure: Experience with Adobe Commerce Cloud (formerly Magento Commerce Cloud), AWS, or Azure.
- Certification: Adobe Certified Professional/Expert in Adobe Commerce is often preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor in Engineering or Masters in Engineering with 8-11 years of experience in Adobe Commerce
