Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and adaptable Bookkeeper/Administrator to support financial and administrative operations for an organization working within the NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) framework in Australia. This role is ideal for professionals who have experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, payroll, and accounting—preferably within the NDIS sector—and can also take on administrative support responsibilities. Familiarity with tools like ShiftCare for client rostering is highly desirable. This is a hybrid role that may be tailored to the candidate's strengths across bookkeeping and administrative tasks.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, including invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and BAS preparation.
  • Process payroll accurately and in compliance with relevant Australian regulations.
  • Prepare and lodge NDIS invoices, ensuring alignment with funding rules and service bookings.
  • Utilize client management and rostering tools like ShiftCare to ensure accurate shift data is captured for payroll and billing.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and generate regular financial reports for management.
  • Provide administrative support such as scheduling, email management, document preparation, and maintaining client records.
  • Support compliance with NDIS reporting, audits, and service delivery documentation requirements.
  • Assist with onboarding new clients or team members and maintaining organizational systems.




Requirements

  • Certificate or Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping, with exposure to Australian payroll and accounting practices.
  • Experience or knowledge of the NDIS framework and billing requirements.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB) and rostering platforms like ShiftCare is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a fully remote environment.
  • Ability to work independently while managing confidential financial and client information with discretion.
