Certified Medical Assistant @ Midi Health: 👩‍⚕️💻

Midi is seeking a resourceful, professional and highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team! As a Certified Medical Assistant, you have a positive attitude both internally with your team and cross-functional partners and always treat patients with kindness and optimism. We lead with empathy and trust at Midi - we trust you to work independently with minimal supervision. Our Medical Assistant team is full of highly organized, detail-oriented, self-starters - we want our next hire to know what needs to be done and we trust that you will take the initiative to remove obstacles to get there!

Business impact 📈  

  • Maintain accurate patient records 
  • Demonstrate empathy and professionalism via all communication methods, including: phone, video, email, slack, text, and patient portal messages 
  • Complete a high volume of prior authorizations 
  • Perform clinical administrative functions within scope of certification 
  • Following provider instructions, demonstrates accurate, timely, and efficient follow through with pharmacy refills, obtaining, reporting and tracking of lab results, medical records, leaving phone messages, and responding to patient messages 
  • Remain in compliance with HIPAA, and protect all patient health information (PHI) in accordance with Federal and state regulation

What you will need to succeed: 🌱

  • National Medical Assistant Certification (CMA or RMA) from NHA, AMT OR AAMA required
  • Prior experience utilizing the CoverMyMeds system required
  • Experience submitting prior authorizations for weight loss medications electronically and over the phone required 
  • 3+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant (post externship)- huge plus if you have telehealth and/or remote work experience! 
  • 2+ years of current ATHENA ONE outpatient EMR experience required (Must have used Athena in 2024 and 2025), 5+ years of overall EMR experience. 

Work Hours: 

Monday-Friday: 

9-5:30 Pacific Time
10-6:30 Eastern Time
11-7:30 Eastern Time
12-8:30 Eastern Time

*includes a 30 minute, unpaid lunch break

What we offer: 

  • Compensation: $22/hour, non-exempt
  • Full Time, 40-hour work-week 
  • Fully remote, work from home opportunity!

  2. Recruiter Interview (30 min Zoom)
  3. Final Interview with Lead MA (30 min Zoom)
