Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field, or equivalent years of work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant FP&A experience including analytics and engagement with non-finance stakeholders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with Infor ERP, EPM tools, financial consolidation systems and BI; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

Requirements:

  • Prepare and consolidate the 5 Year Plan, Annual Budget and monthly forecasts with Finance Business Partners and Group Finance
  • Create base schedules, maintain assumptions log, and attend business meetings to capture inputs for final submission
  • Review, analyze and explain cost variances vs. budget and forecast during month-end close, coordinating with the outsource provider to resolve data issues
  • Prepare and distribute performance dashboards and assist with budgeting, tax charges and forecasting, as well as month-end and year-end reporting

Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as FP&A Analyst based in Houston. You’ll be responsible for analyzing financial information and producing management reports for internal and external reporting and decision-making purposes

What you’ll do as FP&A Analyst:

  • Work closely with Finance Business Partners, Group Finance and the wider business to prepare and where required consolidate the 5 Year Plan, Annual Budget and monthly forecasts
  • Create base schedules, maintain assumptions log and attend business meetings with Business Partners to support any conversations and capture inputs for final submission.
  • Assist in the implementation of an Aggreko wide planning tool and process changes as well as FP&A related system upgrades
  • Review, analyze and explain cost variances vs. budget and forecast as part of the month-end close working closely with the Outsource provider to resolve errors or to obtain greater understanding of the source data
  •  Assist the Business Partner within Group Finance with ad-hoc requirements relevant for the Group consolidation and analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of business presentation materials where required and support the Finance Business Partner
  • Assist in budgeting, tax charges and forecasting. Prepare and distribute business Performance Dashboard Metrics, month-end and year-end reports

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience including analytic responsibilities and engagement with non-finance stakeholders in the business
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills
  • Successful experience in assisting with the preparation of financial reports, building and utilizing financial and operational decision-making models, trend analysis and forecasting and budgeting.
  • Ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Experience with Infor ERP environment, EPM tools, other Financial Consolidation systems and BI
  • Advanced use of Microsoft office (primarily excel and PowerPoint)
