Job description

This role is open to candidates based in LATAM, Africa, and Eastern Europe. Please note that as this role supports U.S.-based clients, candidates must be available to work during U.S. business hours aligned with the client’s time zone.

 

Our client is a growing company focused on driving business growth through high-performing sales and appointment-setting operations. As the company continues scaling, they are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead and support a team of appointment setters while optimizing sales workflows, team performance, and operational efficiency.

Fully-Remote (Work from Home), 9 AM – 5 PM EST

Role Overview

The Sales Development Team Lead will lead and manage a team of appointment setters, ensuring strong performance, consistent follow-through, and adherence to established sales processes. This role combines team leadership, sales operations management, coaching, and workflow oversight to help improve appointment conversion rates and overall sales efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

  • Manage and support a team of 3–5 appointment setters.

  • Conduct daily standups to align priorities, goals, and team performance expectations.

  • Audit calls to ensure communication quality, professionalism, and adherence to company standards.

  • Monitor inboxes, Slack communications, and calendars to maintain organization and timely follow-up.

  • Provide ongoing feedback, support, and development opportunities for team members.

Sales Operations & Performance Management

  • Ensure strong appointment conversion rates and follow-up consistency across the team.

  • Track KPIs including speed-to-lead, appointments booked, and follow-up efficiency.

  • Prepare and maintain sales performance reporting for leadership.

  • Manage reschedules, cancellations, and no-show workflows proactively to optimize appointment flow.

Process & System Oversight

  • Ensure appointment setters follow company processes, policies, and operational standards.

  • Oversee CRM systems and appointment management workflows, including GHL.

  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and record organization.

  • Identify and implement workflow improvements to improve efficiency and appointment quality.

Training & Development

  • Coach team members on sales communication, messaging, and follow-up best practices.

  • Support skill development and performance improvement initiatives across the team.

  • Help create a structured, accountable, and high-performing sales environment.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, team leadership, or related roles.

  • Experience managing appointment-setting teams and improving sales performance metrics.

  • Experience working with CRM systems, preferably GHL.

  • Familiarity with communication and workflow tools such as Slack, email, and calendar management systems.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple workflows, priorities, and operational tasks simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities related to sales performance metrics.

  • Process-oriented mindset with strong operational follow-through.
