  • Own and manage content and communications calendar, coordinate contributions from team members, and oversee deadlines; manage social media across LinkedIn, Instagram, and X including scheduling, posting, and engagement

Business Development and Communications Associate

Department: New Business

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated New Business Communications Specialist to help with the execution of our agency's new business and communication efforts. The ideal candidate is a versatile "doer" who is excited to wear multiple hats, from designing marketing collateral and writing compelling copy to managing our content pipeline and supporting new business initiatives.

This role is perfect for a tech-savvy, proactive individual who is an exceptional communicator and a quick learner. We are looking for someone who is creative and who will bring life and new ideas to our agency's new business and marketing efforts. You will be encouraged to support our strategy, experiment with new tactics, and play a critical role in shaping our brand presence and driving our growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • New Business Support:

    • Will work closely with leadership to identify new market opportunities, assist in creating sales materials and partnership communications with prospective and current clients.

    • Support the agency's new business campaigns and other active agency marketing and advertising efforts. 

    • Support the new business team by preparing compelling proposals, graphics, and other sales enablement materials to help us win new clients.

  • Be a Primary Contact for Agency Partnerships

    • Help create content and materials to support joint marketing efforts with our important technology partners.

    • Will be a main point of contact for the agency partnerships by handling communication, marketing collateral and events, in collaboration with agency leadership.

  • Content Creation (Design & Copy):

    • Design and produce a wide range of marketing materials, including social media graphics, case studies, one-pagers, and presentation decks using tools like Figma and/or Canva.

    • Write clear, persuasive, and on-brand copy for our website, landing pages, case studies, email marketing campaigns, and other digital assets.

  • Project & Content Management:

    • Own and manage our content and communications calendar, ensuring a steady stream of high-quality content.

    • Lead the process of collecting information, assets, and written contributions from various team members, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Social Media Management:

    • Manage our agency's social media presence across key channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, X), including content scheduling, posting, and community engagement.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a communications role at a digital agency or a similarly fast-paced, client-focused environment.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a portfolio of writing samples (e.g., blog posts, web copy, email campaigns).

  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with proficiency in a design tool like Figma, Canva, or the Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • A tech-savvy mindset and the ability to learn new software and platforms quickly. You should be very comfortable leveraging AI to complete tasks and projects.

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (G Suite), including Docs, Sheets, and Slides.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with different personalities and teams.

  • A proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated attitude.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience
