  • CPA certification is a strong plus

Requirements:

  • Process and record financial transactions in cloud-based accounting systems, including sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions, and reclassification journals for revenue, recurring, accrual, and payroll entries.
  • Participate in the month-end close to ensure timely and accurate completion, including reconciliations and resolving discrepancies to maintain a clean general ledger.
  • Support the Operations Leadership team and Accounting SME with reporting and ad-hoc analyses, and assist with account reconciliations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc management reports as needed and contribute to process improvements.

Job description

This is a remote position.


n this role, the Accounting Assistant provides vital support to our client by performing overall accounting duties through processing the available financial information in the cloud-based accounting systems of the client. 
 
The Accounting Assistant ensures that the financial ledgers are up to date on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. This may include, but is not limited to, processing of sales and purchase invoices, bank transactions, reclassification journals for revenue, recurring, accrual, and payroll entries.


Aside from that, the Accounting Assistant participates in the month end close process, ensuring timely and accurate execution of the assigned month end close tasks, provides assistance to the client & leadership team with maintaining a clean and updated general ledger, including account reconciliations and resolving of discrepancies. 
 
The Accounting Assistant also assists the Operations Leadership team, including the Accounting SME and Operations Management, and/or other team members where needed to accomplish the department goals, and to prepare ad-hoc reports to the management as needed




Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field of study 
  • CPA certification is a strong plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Able to analyze financial records
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Good time management skills; able to prioritize
  • Self-driven and proactive nature.
  • Highly driven and willingness to learn new tools and software.
