Job description

Our client is a growth stage technology and data-driven commercial insurance wholesaler backed by a leading private equity firm. They are combining the worlds of insurance and technology to create an insurtech powerhouse, and are undergoing rapid digital transformation. The business operates in a complex, workflow-heavy environment and is investing heavily in AI, automation, and modern product development practices to unlock speed and efficiency at scale.

We’re helping them hire three Senior Technical Product Managers to join their growing team. This is a build-and-transform environment - not maintenance. The focus is on rethinking how systems, workflows, and data interact, and applying AI to modernize legacy processes. If you thrive in 0-1 or 1-n product environments, enjoy working at pace, and like turning messy operational workflows into clean, scalable solutions - this role is designed for you.

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent
Location: Remote, but MUST be physically located in the US or Canada.
Compensation: USD $110,000-150,000

What You'll Do:
  • Own technical product areas end-to-end - from discovery through delivery.
  • Translate business workflows into technical solutions, working closely with engineering teams.
  • Drive AI-enabled product development, identifying where automation and intelligence can improve speed, accuracy, and output.
  • Build and iterate on early-stage (v1) solutions, continuously refining based on real-world usage.
  • Operate in fast sprint cycles - shipping, learning, and improving quickly (days/weeks, not months).
  • Work across multiple initiatives simultaneously, balancing quick wins with longer-term platform improvements.
  • Partner with engineering to evaluate APIs, integrations, and system design decisions.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to deeply understand operational workflows and pain points.
  • Contribute to a broader digital transformation agenda, influencing how products evolve over time.

Requirements

  • 3-8 years in Technical Product Management.
  • Recent experience in the commercial insurance or fintech space.
  • Strong exposure to fast-paced, startup-style environments, with experience building or iterating on early-stage (v1) products.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., LLMs, automation tools, AI copilots), and ability to apply AI to real workflows, not just theoretical understanding.
  • Comfortable working with APIs, integrations, and system workflows, able to evaluate and guide technical decisions alongside engineers.
  • Exposure to systems involving data flows, underwriting/pricing logic, or transaction workflows.
  • Strong problem-solver who can break down complex workflows.
  • Builder mentality - you don’t wait for perfect requirements.

Benefits

  • Employee Ownership Program - eligible employees share in the financial rewards as the company grows
  • Professional Development Opportunities – access to learning and career growth initiatives
  • Owner Referral Program
  • Work-from-Home Reimbursement
  • Digital Health & Wellness Platform - online fitness and wellbeing resources
  • Canary Emergency Financial Assistance Program
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision Coverage
  • Life and AD&D Insurance
  • Confidential Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Short-Term Disability Coverage
  • Voluntary Benefits - supplemental accident, critical illness, and hospital insurance
  • Employee Discounts
  • 401(k) Plan with company matching contributions
  • Paid Time Off Programs
  • 11 Company-Paid Holidays
