Job description

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring an Associate, Individual and Family Plan Insurance Solutions to join our Insurance Product Development team.

Oscar is the first health insurance company built around a full stack technology platform and a relentless focus on serving our members. We started Oscar in 2012 to create the kind of health insurance company we would want for ourselves—one that behaves like a doctor in the family.

The Associate, Individual and Family Plan Insurance Solutions, supports end to end product strategy, research, and delivery across Oscar’s Individual & Family (IFP) and employer-subsidized (e.g., ICHRA) solutions. This role operates horizontally across product lines, partnering with product management, market leadership, actuarial, regulatory, operations, and analytics to support product design decisions, filing readiness, and in-market performance through structured research, analysis, and disciplined execution.

You will report into the Vice President, Insurance Product Innovation and Development

Work Location: This is a remote / work-from-home role. You must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia. • Support product strategy development across on-exchange and employer-subsidized offerings through market research, competitive analysis, and internal performance insights

    • Conduct structured qualitative and quantitative research to inform product design decisions, including benefit structures, cost-sharing approaches, and positioning

    • Support population and segment based research to understand member and employer needs across portfolios

    Cross Functional Execution Support

    • Support execution of product initiatives that span IFP and employer-subsidized solutions

    • Assist in development of product artifacts required for filings, launch readiness, and internal governance

    • Coordinate inputs across product, market, actuarial, regulatory, and operational teams to ensure alignment and completeness

    • Track timelines, dependencies, and risks across multiple concurrent workstreams

    Performance Monitoring & Insight Development

    • Support monitoring of post-launch product performance across growth, retention, utilization, and margin metrics

    • Develop analyses to identify emerging risks, performance gaps, and optimization opportunities

    • Prepare materials to support post-launch reviews, remediation discussions, and future year planning

    Governance, Quality & Documentation
