Position Overview
The Bridgeforce Data Solutions team seeks an entrepreneurial mindset for a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the team executing upon the design and creation of enhancements to the data environment. The duties of this role range from data modeling and database development to building and maintaining reliable, efficient data routines that support analytics and the company’s products.
It is critical that this person enjoys challenges and breaking new ground; working closely with colleagues to provide detailed insights into the “why” of data design, the business decisions that BDS plans to support, and the key insights needed to support them.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Translate business and data requirements into technical designs (data models, schemas, validation rules, and processing specifications).
- Enhance data exception handling by implementing robust validation, reconciliation, monitoring, and alerting for data quality issues.
- Improve data processing efficiency by tuning, optimizing tables and schemas, and reducing runtime and operational overhead.
- Extend the data environment to support new data sources and data types, including ingestion, normalization, and backward-compatible schema evolution.
- Create derivative datasets (e.g., benchmarking datasets) and implement de-identification approaches that remove or protect PII while preserving analytical value.
- Document requirements and track progress against defined milestones.
- Document and maintain processes, procedures, and user guides related to the analytics suite.
- Support onboarding of new data sources and new client data feeds by defining mapping rules, validation checks, and go-live readiness criteria.
- Support the data environment on behalf of clients and internal efforts.
- Maintain user confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Requirements and Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-2 years of direct experience or the equivalent experience obtained through internships.
- Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive.
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and with others.
- A “can-do” attitude that finds ways to get things done with limited direction.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work in unstructured situations and bring order to undefined solutions.
- SQL and Redshift development experience.
- Experience with python and shell scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Datawarehouse/dimensional model concepts.
- Actively embraces AI-enabled coding assistants as part of daily development work (e.g., Kiro, Claude Code, or similar).
- Effective interpersonal and clear communication skills when meeting with clients.
- Excellent written English skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with ETL (using at least one like Ab initio/Informatica/Data Stage or similar) tool.
- Experience in financial services, especially consumer lending.
- Experience writing procedures and technical documentation.
- Familiar with AWS environments.
- Previous work experience with dynamic, start-up software teams.
Additional Information
The selected candidate must be able to work remotely 40 hours per week (M-F). Travel is required and includes an annual company meeting plus limited internal in-person meetings and client visits averaging less than once per month.
The pay range for the position is dependent upon the selected candidate’s prior experience and is estimated to be $60,000 - $90,000 annual salary plus 30% bonus potential, resulting in total cash compensation of up to $78,000 - $117,000 annually.

This is a remote position which can work anywhere within the United States with East Coast preferred.
