Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
7+ years of experience in highly complex commercial or related construction projects
Experience with mission critical facilities, data centers, and other MEP-heavy projects in the capacity of GC, electrical contractor, or mechanical contractor
Self-perform experience is strongly desired; in-depth knowledge of mission critical technology and processes; geographically mobile and willing to relocate/travel
Requirements:
Lead the on-site project team, providing direction, developing staff, and ensuring safety, quality, and timely project completion.
Coordinate office-to-field operations, oversee staffing, manage pay requests, and monitor project costs with forecasting.
Develop and maintain project documentation (chart of accounts, contract status reports, and site logistics) and assist in schedule development and performance while implementing safety, EEO, and affirmative action programs.
Lead the project’s quality and close-out processes and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and owners to represent McCarthy's core values.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Manager - Mission Critical is the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and team development on site. The Project Manager will lead the project team in the construction of the entire Project. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the project staff and ensuring quality and timely completion of the project.
McCarthy’s Mission Critical group is a national group with projects throughout the United States, and the Project Manager is a project site-based position. Travel or relocation is likely, and travel compensation is additional as defined in McCarthy’s Workforce Mobility Plan.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Able to perform all Assistant Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Engineer responsibilities
Manage staff members ensuring proper oversight and development of multiple levels of staff
Serve as a liaison between office and field, coordinating staffing and movement of field personnel
Develop project chart of accounts, project contract status report and project site logistics plan
Maintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract
Oversee the pay request process
Monitor project costs and job cost report, analyzing and forecasting total cost projection reports
Implement and monitor training of all staff personnel and project labor
Review/approve project team on-site setup, including facilities layout, selection of forming systems and equipment
Assist project staff in development of construction schedule and monitor schedule performance, looking for ways to improve/expedite
Assist estimating in bidding projects
Implement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programs
Lead the project’s quality process and close-out processes
Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core values
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
7+ Years of experience in highly complex commercial or related construction projects
Experience with relevant large scale, small scale, or hyper scale Mission Critical facilities, Data Centers, Critical Facilities and other MEP-heavy commercial or industrial projects in the capacity of a General Contractor, Electrical Contractor, or Mechanical Contractor preferred
Self-perform experience is strongly desired
In-depth knowledge of mission critical technology and/or processes required
Must be geographically mobile, able to relocate and/or travel
Advanced knowledge of construction principles/practices required
Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work
Experience leading successful project teams, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities

For California locations only, the salary range for this position is: $115,000-$167,000 depending on experience. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Compensation offered may vary based on work location, experience, qualifications, specialty, training, and market and business considerations, among other factors.
