Job Summary

The Shared Services Specialist administers all aspects of each client membership program in addition to performing various functions for the Shared Services Department.    

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Facilitate all aspects of each client membership program
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for company training and questions regarding client membership programs
  • Quality auditing of both internal and third-party vendor teams
  • Perform root cause analysis of payment exceptions and missing payments  
  • Establish methods of payment extraction through automation
  • Extensive payment reconciliations
  • Creation of payment and month end reports
  • Analysis of current Shared Services Processes to identify defects and develop process improvements
  • Create new and update existing SOPs and Job Aids as needed 
  • Consistently support and demonstrate the company mission and values

Other Responsibilities/Activities

  • Perform Bad Debt Recovery role specific tasks as needed
  • Perform Shared Services role specific tasks as needed
  • Other tasks and projects assigned by leadership


Requirements

Required Education, Skills, & Experience

  • High School Diploma
  • Intermediate to expert excel skills including file manipulation and creation
  • Strong, effective, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-departmental and diverse teams to achieve results.
  • Highly organized with ability to be proactive, manage time, and prioritize work with little supervision
  • Willing and able to adapt to changes in work environment, procedures, priorities, schedule, and job duties

Preferred Education, Skills, & Experience

  • Thorough knowledge of major health insurers, including federal and state agencies 
  • Previous medical billing and/or account reconciliation
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial, and patient reimbursement/billing, and HIPAA

Working Environment/Physical Requirements

  • General office environment
  • Frequent telephone use
  • Frequent typing
  • Sitting for long periods of time, some standing
  • Use of basic office equipment such as computer, fax, printer, copier

Pay range: $17.00 - $20.00 an hour, with final compensation based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and business needs. Individuals in this role are eligible to participate in a discretionary bonus plan and a comprehensive benefit package, including a retirement plan, health coverage, and paid time off.
