Job Title: Change Management & Communications Consultant (M&A Focus)
Duration: 4-Month Contract

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Change Management & Communications Consultant to support a high-impact initiative, with a strong focus on employee-facing communications and people change within an M&A environment. This individual will play a key role in shaping and delivering clear, thoughtful, and timely messaging to employees throughout the transition.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in organizational change, HR partnership, and internal communications, with experience navigating the complexities and sensitivities of mergers and acquisitions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Change Management & People Strategy

  • Support the development and execution of change management strategies focused on employee experience
  • Partner closely with HR and leadership to align messaging with people-related initiatives (organizational changes, culture integration, policy updates)
  • Identify change impacts and develop plans to support employee adoption and engagement

Communications Development & Delivery

  • Create and deliver clear, concise, and empathetic employee communications across multiple channels
  • Develop communication plans, messaging frameworks, FAQs, and leadership talking points
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across stakeholders and workstreams
  • Tailor communications to different employee groups and levels within the organization

M&A Integration Support

  • Support communication efforts related to mergers, acquisitions, or organizational restructuring
  • Help manage sensitive messaging around transitions, role changes, and integration milestones
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment during integration activities

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Work closely with HR, leadership, and project teams to gather inputs and refine messaging
  • Coach leaders on communication delivery and employee engagement best practices
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on communication tone, timing, and approach

Change Readiness & Feedback

  • Assess employee readiness and sentiment through feedback mechanisms
  • Adjust communication strategies based on feedback and evolving business needs
  • Support change adoption through clear and proactive communication

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in change management, internal communications, or related roles
  • Proven experience supporting M&A, organizational transformation, or large-scale change initiatives
  • Strong background in employee communications and HR-related change
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to communicate complex or sensitive information with clarity and empathy
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate communications, HR transformation, or organizational development
  • Familiarity with change management frameworks (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR)
  • Experience in consulting or working in highly dynamic environments
