Vanigent is hiring an HR Director - Philippines to lead HR for Vanivation Corp., our local independent entity in the Philippines. (Remote | PH-Based)
We’re seeking a strategic HR leader to serve as the primary HR leader in the Philippines, partnering closely with senior leaders locally and globally to shape and execute people strategies that support business growth and evolving operational needs.
This role requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution in a fast-paced, evolving environment supporting international operations. The organization is scaling quickly and requires a leader who can bring both strategic insight and operational rigor to build sustainable HR infrastructure while also addressing immediate business needs.
As the in-country HR leader, this individual will serve as a key bridge between global leadership and the Philippines workforce, helping localize policies and practices effectively while maintaining alignment with broader organizational priorities and culture.

Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
- Serve as the primary HR leader in the Philippines, with ownership of both strategic HR leadership and day-to-day HR execution.
- Partner closely with senior leadership locally and globally to align HR strategy, talent priorities, and organizational needs with business objectives.
- Act as a strategic liaison between US-based/global leadership and the Philippines workforce, helping translate business expectations, organizational culture, and local market realities in a matrixed environment.
- Provide strategic HR counsel on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and change management.
- Support business growth by building trusted relationships with leaders and delivering practical, business-focused HR solutions.
HR Operations & Functional Excellence
- Lead core HR operations across employee relations, compliance, HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, and related HR processes.
- Build, strengthen, and refine scalable HR processes, infrastructure, and governance practices to support a growing organization.
- Establish, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and frameworks that promote consistency, clarity, accountability, and operational effectiveness.
- Balance immediate business demands with long-term HR infrastructure building and continuous process improvement.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR operations, improve service delivery, and strengthen execution across the function.
Talent Management & Organizational Development
- Lead and support talent initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, succession support, leadership development, and employee growth.
- Strengthen performance management practices to support accountability, development, feedback, and alignment with business expectations.
- Support organizational design and talent planning efforts that align workforce capabilities with business priorities.
- Help foster a high-performance culture while navigating change, growth, and shifting priorities.
- Partner with leadership to attract, retain, and develop talent in support of organizational needs.
Employee Relations, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with Philippine labor laws, statutory requirements, and other applicable employment regulations.
- Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace issues with sound judgment, discretion, and fairness.
- Advise leadership on employee matters, policy interpretation, disciplinary issues, and organizational risk.
- Maintain consistent application of HR policies and practices to promote fairness, clarity, and legal compliance.
- Maintain working knowledge of Philippine labor requirements related to overtime, holidays, night differential, and other wage and hour practices, and ensure HR policies and practices remain aligned.
Compensation, Benefits & Employee Experience
- Oversee total rewards programs to help ensure alignment with Philippine market practices, internal equity, and employee needs, including localized benefits and programs as applicable.
- Manage and oversee local HR vendors and partners, including benefits providers, insurance brokers, payroll support, and other people-related services, as applicable.
- Support employee engagement and well-being initiatives aligned to workforce needs, including environments with shifting schedules or global time zone alignment.
- Help strengthen the employee experience through responsive, practical, and employee-centered HR leadership.
- Provide input on market practices, workforce trends, and employee needs to support a competitive and sustainable people strategy.
Data, Analytics & Decision Support
- Utilize people analytics to track key HR metrics, identify and analyze trends, and deliver actionable insights to support informed decision-making and improve organizational effectiveness.
- Leverage HR data and reporting to assess workforce trends, monitor key people indicators, and inform talent, organizational, and operational decisions.
- Partner with leadership to translate HR data into practical insights and recommendations that support business decisions and organizational priorities.
Data Privacy, Policy & Governance
- Ensure HR practices comply with applicable data privacy requirements, including the Philippine Data Privacy Act, in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders, including data privacy or compliance leads as applicable, to ensure appropriate handling of employee data and HR records.
- Support sound HR governance through proper documentation, confidentiality, records management, and adherence to applicable legal and company standards.
- Maintain a high standard of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion in handling sensitive employee and business information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 8-10 years in a leadership role.
- 5+ years of experience leading country-level HR in a Global Business Services (GBS) environment, with preferred experience leading or supporting HR operations at a regional or global scale.
- Demonstrated experience serving as the primary HR leader for a country, business unit, or geography; standalone in-country leadership experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in start-up, build-up, or rapidly evolving HR environments as part of a core leadership team strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in Philippine labor law, employee relations, compliance, and case management.
- Experience supporting global or multinational organizations, including partnership with US-based or international stakeholders.
- Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization and navigate Western corporate expectations while localizing HR practices appropriately within the Philippine context.
- Strong background in HR business partnering, employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, organizational development, and HR operations.
- Demonstrated success building, stabilizing, or transforming HR processes in high-growth, transitional, or evolving environments.
- Strong business acumen and proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
- Working knowledge of the Philippine Data Privacy Act and related requirements governing employee data handling.
- Familiarity with Philippine labor practices related to overtime, holidays, night differential, and shift-based workforce considerations.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, resilience, and sound judgment.
- Preferably available to start immediately, though not required.
