JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: IT&D Data Analyst PLM
About the Role :- As an IT&D R&D Data Analyst for SAP PLM, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, compliant, and migration
ready Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) data that supports ongoing business operations and large-scale
transformation programs. You will work closely with cross functional teams across R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Supply, and
IT to extract, analyse, validate, and structure PLM-related data sourced from SAP and non-SAP systems.
You will also contribute significantly to SAP PLM data management ac vi es, supporting data extraction, mapping,
cleansing, harmonizati on, lineage tracking, and preparation for load into SAP PLM and S/4HANA. Leveraging ETL tooling
and GenAI-enabled capabilities and automation, you will accelerate data creation and embellishment, data quality
checks, document creation, rule genera on, and issue resolution—enabling faster, more consistent data readiness.
Your work ensures accurate, complete, and compliant data flows across SAP PLM and S/4HANA, driving optimized
product development, lifecycle management, regulatory alignment, and master data integrity. This role is ideal for
someone who combines deep SAP PLM domain expertise with strong data engineering, governance, and advanced
analytical capabilities with smart automation tools.
Your Responsibilities :- You will be responsible for data activities supporting Reckitt SAP PLM transformation program and connected systems,
including:
Data Extraction & Preparation :-
Execute structured, repeatable, and audit-ready data extracts from source systems.
Collect, consolidate, cleanse, and transform structured and unstructured data for readiness and migration.
Support ETL-based data processing, including rule application, data enrichment, mapping transformation, and
load preparation.
Data Migration:-
Contribute to SAP PLM data migration cycles (e.g., extract → profile → cleanse → transform → validate → load).
Build, review, and maintain data mapping specifications, transformation rules, and load templates.
Ensure high traceability through field-level lineage, mapping documents, and data validation logs.
Partner with technical teams to support trial loads, cutover activities, and post-load data verification.
GenAI-Enabled Data Acceleration:-
Use GenAI tools to automate metadata analysis, rule creation, documentation, and data quality assessments.
Leverage LLM-powered accelerators to speed up data creation and embellishment, mapping reviews, impact
assessments, and stakeholder communications.
Contribute with SMEs to develop reusable GenAI prompts and workflows for data management efficiency.
Data Governance & Documentation
Maintain governance artifacts including the Source Inventory Register (SIR), Data Change Log (DCL), lineage
documents, traceability trackers and other data delivery documents.
Enforce metadata standards, controlled naming conventions, and structured document management across
SharePoint/DMS repositories.
Data Quality, Analysis & Reporting
Perform detailed data profiling, gap analysis, validation, and cleansing to support migration readiness.
Develop and deliver dashboards, quality reports, and migration progress updates for data leads and program
leadership.
Identify root causes of data issues and drive remediation plans with business and technical teams.
Audit Readiness & Compliance
Ensure documentation accuracy, traceability, and evidence management across all data lifecycle activities.
Support both internal and external audits with complete, structured, and compliant data artifacts.
Experience We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience in data analysis in PLM data roles within SAP and/or S/4HANA environments. Knowledge
of master data management will be an addon.
Hands-on experience with SAP PLM data migration, including transformation logic, cleansing cycles, and
cut-over readiness.
Experience in R&D, FMCG, pharma, manufacturing, or other GxP industry environments.
Strong background in data migration, data readiness assessments, ETL workflows, and large-scale ERP/PLM
transformati on programs.
Skills for Success
Core Technical Skills
Deep expertise in SAP PLM (Engineering Records, Specifications, BOMs, Recipes, Document Management).
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA master data objects—Materials, Specifications, BOMs, Routings, Quality,
Regulatory data.
Good to have experience with SAP ECC, SAP ECTR, SAP DMS, SAP BODs and PLM integrated tools.
Proficiency in data extraction tools: SAP tables, SQVI, SE16N, BAPIs, and relevant ETL platforms.
Strong analytical skills with Excel, Power BI, SQL, and preferably Python.
Knowledge of GenAI tools for accelerating data quality checks, metadata parsing, rule genera on, and
documentation.
Data & Governance Skills
Expertise in data profiling, cleansing, transformation rules, and gap analysis.
Ability to maintain governance assets (SIR, DCL, lineage, mappings) with precision.
Strong understanding of metadata standards, controlled vocabularies, and structured documentation.
