Key Responsibilities
- 70% hands-on technical engineering using Node.js, Python, and JavaScript (must have a passion for coding)
- 30% leadership of a small internal team (Data, A.I, Developers) and management of two external vendors
- Involved in requirement gathering, architectural design, building, and deploying scalable, enterprise-ready cloud solutions
- Take ideas and new features from concept to production, ensuring proper documentation, code refactoring (or rewriting), and clearing existing backlog
- Create intuitive, responsive user interfaces
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Node.js and modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Next, Vue, Angular)
- Strong Python skills, particularly in data engineering
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization/orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Previous experience in a scale-up or start-up environment, with the ability to work remotely and independently
- Bonus: Experience with machine learning and A.I technologies

About the Team & Company Structure
- Report directly to the CTO and Co-Founder; you will be the most senior engineer in the team
- Expected to have 8-12 years of relevant experience
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and data teams to deliver impactful solutions
- Co-founder is based in Malaysia; CTO (consultant) is based in Singapore

- Demonstrate start-up grit and adaptability; able to thrive in a fast-growing business with high customer expectations and tight timelines
- Passionate about expanding technical knowledge in the rapidly evolving ML and A.I space, with a willingness to learn on the job
- Comfortable switching between hands-on engineering, supporting junior engineers, managing vendors, and responding to client requests
