Accounting Supervisor

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor to lead and mature a segment of the  accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys building structure from ambiguity, and is motivated by both strategic impact and day-to-day execution.

You will:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly GAAP financial statements
• Supervise Accounts Payable
• Work closely with team on Audit & Tax related items 

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

• Assist in the monthly close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Assist in preparation of Board-level reporting packages, including:
  • Revenue, margin, and product line performance
  • Customer metrics (e.g., churn, ACV)
• Ensure accuracy of income statement accounts

Accounting & Compliance

• Oversee accounts payable processes
• Manage bank and credit card reconciliations
• Oversee sales/use tax filings
• Support preparation of federal and state income tax filings
• Maintain strong internal controls and audit readiness

Process Improvement & Automation

• Identify automation and efficiency improvements across accounting workflows
• Partner with Finance team to improve financial data quality, reporting accuracy, and operational visibility

Leadership & Partnership

• Collaborate closely with the Finance team
• Support leadership in building a scalable financial infrastructure
• Monitor and train the accounting personnel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with NetSuite (or similar ERP systems)
• Deep understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience managing month-end close and reconciliations
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, analysis, modeling)
• Cellphone or personal device to receive MFA (multi-factor authentication) texts or calls.
• Have an internet connection that’s adequate for their job, a minimum of 10Mbps down.

Preferred Experience

• CPA (active or in progress)
• Experience with sales tax and multi-state compliance
