Roles & Responsibilities

Requirements:

  • Independently conduct workplace investigations by collecting and analyzing data, conducting interviews, and making recommendations; provide solid and factual written reports.
  • Manage the ER case management system and standardize investigation protocols, templates, and documentation practices; coordinate with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
  • Create corrective action plans for substantiated allegations and assist in periodic reporting of trends and proactive employee relations strategies to internal groups and leaders.
  • Support HR initiatives, policy development, and special projects, with travel up to 10%.

Job Summary

The Senior Employee Relations Investigator is a remote position in Eastern or Central Time Zone.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for investigating alleged violations of the company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, policies, and complex compliance matters, including violations related to Harassment, Discrimination and Retaliation.   The position reports to the Senior Director of Employee Relations and will work with HR and Legal on policy development.

Duties and Responsibilities

Independently conduct workplace investigations by collecting and analyzing relevant data, conduct interviews and make recommendations based on investigation findings. Provide solid and factual written reports of investigations. Create corrective action plans for substantiated allegations. Manage ER case management system and ensure standardization of investigation protocols, templates and documentation practices. Coordinate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders when conducting investigations. Assist in periodic reporting of trends and proactive positive employee relations strategies to  internal groups and leaders. Ability to manage multiple investigations at the same time. Ability to facilitate conflict management. Help develop and update HR policies and procedures. May serve on various ad hoc projects to support HR initiatives that align with the company’s overall business aims. Will work on special projects with stakeholders. Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred Experience

Five+ years of progressive experience in workplace investigation or conflict resolution.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Relations, Business Management or Psychology.  

Strong background working with employees in Restaurant, Retail, Hospitality or Supply Chain.

Workplace Investigation Training and/or Certification.
