  • Evaluate individuals’ abilities and match them to appropriate volunteer assignments; inform workers of assigned tasks and timekeeping requirements; prepare workers for orientation and assignment
  • Maintain nonprofit contact information; prepare, edit, and send confidential documents; confirm initial attendance and ongoing participation; resolve time-tracking or performance issues

Job Description:

Position Overview: Assist individuals with temporary disabilities in obtaining volunteer work during transitional periods (weeks to months)

  • Contacts various organizations (email or soft phone) to determine/confirm their current or future volunteer needs.
  • Establishes and maintains working relationships with injured workers, employers, nonprofit organizations, and insurance contacts.
  • Evaluates individuals’ abilities and match them to appropriate volunteer assignments.
  • Informs workers of their volunteer assignment, tasks required and timeclock information.
  • Prepares workers for orientation interview and their volunteer assignment.
  • Maintains nonprofit’s contact information.
  • Prepares, edits, and sends confidential documents.
  • Confirms workers initial attendance and continued on-going participation in program.
  • Resolves any ongoing time tracking concerns or performance issues.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish/English) a plus.
  • Experience working with non-profits is a plus
  • Must have strong written and communication skills, and high comfort level connecting with various organizations via phone or email.
  • Solid computer ability needed, including use of Microsoft Outlook/Word, Google, Maps, etc.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize deadlines

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $22.00 - $24.00 hourly, and will be based on a number of additional factors including skills, experience, and education.
