  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry practices and terminology; proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional design
  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies; excellent client-facing and communication skills; Guidewire certification (Business Analyst or Functional Consultant) is preferred

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into functional specifications; lead functional workshops with clients and internal teams
  • Collaborate with Guidewire developers to design and validate technical solutions; provide guidance on product capabilities, limitations, and best practices; perform configuration tasks using Guidewire Studio
  • Support testing, training, and production rollouts; mentor junior functional analysts; serve as the primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders; ensure timely delivery and quality of functional deliverables

Job description

This is a remote position.

Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Guidewire Functional Lead to join our growing delivery team in the service industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing functional leadership in the design, configuration, and delivery of Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter) implementations. You will work closely with clients, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver scalable, effective solutions aligned with client business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a functional lead for Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and convert them into functional specifications.

  • Lead functional workshops with clients and internal teams.

  • Collaborate with Guidewire developers to design and validate technical solutions that meet business needs.

  • Provide guidance on product capabilities, limitations, and best practices.

  • Perform configuration tasks using Guidewire tools such as Guidewire Studio.

  • Support testing, training, and production rollouts.

  • Lead and mentor junior functional analysts.

  • Serve as the primary functional point of contact for client stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely delivery and quality of functional deliverables.



Requirements


  • 7+ years of experience in the insurance domain with a minimum of 3+ years as a Guidewire Functional Analyst or Consultant.

  • Hands-on experience in at least one Guidewire module (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter).

  • Strong knowledge of insurance industry practices and terminology.

  • Proven experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and functional design.

  • Experience with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.

  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead functional teams and manage client expectations.

  • Experience with Guidewire Data Model, Product Model, and Configurations.

  • Guidewire certification (Business Analyst or Functional Consultant) is preferred.
