Role: Report Developer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: Long Term
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Work Time: Mountain or Central are preferred.
Location: 100% Remote (Candidates can work from anywhere in LATAM countries)
Job Summary:
The Report Developer is responsible for translating business needs into insights, leveraging data manipulation, exploration, analysis, and visualization techniques to build easily understood custom reporting solutions. The Report developer will execute the full software development life cycle, including, requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment, ensuring that the best end product is created for both internal and external clients.
Essential Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
• Design and develop reporting code based on requirement analysis, utilizing SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services, and other available technologies
• UAT testing of report code to ensure accuracy, performance, and fulfillment of requirements
• Deployment of code into UAT and Production environments
• Create SSRS data visualizations to provide insight to decision makers and make data easier to understand
• Translate business needs and concerns into specific, measurable, and actionable insights
• Proactively collaborate with business users to seek and understand needs and develop solutions to fit them
• Ensure compliance with security policies as they relate to reports and data
• Convey complex ideas using graphs charts and data to aid decision making
• Create, clarify, document, and maintain definitions for data points used throughout reporting
• Create subscriptions to reports for business users
• Monitor user permissions to reports
• Validate reports match known sources of truth for consistency
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
• BS Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics or other related field
• 2+ years of directly applicable data experience with an emphasis in Data, ETL, Reporting
Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Proficient with MS SQL 2016, and 2019
• Proficient in SSRS
• Experience with Databricks
• Ability to quickly create accurate ADHOC reports
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in teams and working in group settings
