About Cause Capacity

Cause Capacity partners with nonprofits and small businesses to strengthen their people, systems, and operations. We step in as embedded partners—helping organizations run more effectively so they can focus on their mission and growth.

Our clients are often in moments of transition or expansion. They don’t just need extra hands—they need thoughtful, reliable operators who can bring structure, clarity, and follow-through. Learn more at www.cause-capacity.com or check us out on LinkedIn.

About the Role

We’re building a bench of highly capable, detail-oriented operators who can step into client environments and provide flexible, high-quality administrative and operational support.

This is not a traditional admin role. You’ll be trusted to own tasks, improve systems, and anticipate needs—often with limited oversight. Assignments will vary across clients, and may be short-term, ongoing, or project-based.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in ambiguity, and takes pride in making things run smoothly behind the scenes.

Who You Are

You’re the person others rely on to “just figure it out.” You bring structure to chaos, follow through on details, and don’t wait to be told what to do next.

You might describe yourself as:

Resourceful and proactive — you identify gaps and solve problems independently

Highly organized — you build systems that keep people and projects on track

Service-oriented — you take pride in supporting teams and leaders effectively

Adaptable — you can shift between clients, tools, and priorities with ease

Comfortable with ambiguity — you don’t need everything spelled out to move forward

You’re also excited by the opportunity to work across mission-driven organizations and growing businesses, contributing in a flexible, fractional capacity.

What You’ll Do

You’ll serve as an embedded support partner across a range of client needs. Responsibilities will vary based on your strengths and client engagements, and may include:

Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., contractors, bookkeepers, accountants)

Executive Support  (Small Biz + Nonprofit Clients)

Manage complex calendars and priorities for senior leaders

Draft communications, presentations, and board materials

Serve as a liaison between leadership, board members, clients, and/or stakeholders

Support client and/or donor relationship management

Digital & Communications Support  (Small Biz + Nonprofit Clients)

Schedule and post social media content

      Draft newsletters or blog content

Update website content (basic CMS edits)

      Process donations and generate reports

Draft donor communications and prepare outreach materials

Track grant deadlines and reporting timelines

Prepare and organize grant materials and documentation

Maintain accurate funder records and files

Program & Team Operations (Nonprofit Clients)

Track program data, timelines, and deliverables

      Support participant or volunteer coordination

      Prepare reports and routine communications

What You Bring
