Roles & Responsibilities

  • Active NP or PA with current license
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), preferably in family medicine
  • Experience delivering primary care via telehealth, including acute issue management and chronic disease management
  • Willingness to obtain Virginia (VA) and North Carolina (NC) licenses; eligible to practice in Sentara-supported states

Requirements:

  • Provide primary care via telehealth for acute issues and chronic condition management
  • Work a flexible telehealth schedule (mornings, afternoons, evenings, including weekends); 100% remote with no on-call requirements
  • Document encounters in the electronic health record, coordinate with care teams, and support patient outcomes
  • Maintain licensure and comply with state practice requirements (VA and NC licensing as applicable; multi-state practice as approved)

Overview:

Sentara Medical Group is seeking an experienced PRN APP (NP or PA) to join our Telehealth Services team in providing primary care.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working in family medicine. We are looking for someone who is open to working mornings, afternoons, and evenings depending on the day, including weekends.

Highlights Include:

  • 100% Remote

  • Flexibility within working hours (weekdays and weekends required)

  • APP will see patients for acute issues as well as chronic condition management

  • No call requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active NP or PA 

  • At least 3 years’ experience as APP

  • Will be required to obtain a VA and NC License

  • Applicants may live in the following states: Indiana, Nevada, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia, or Wisconsin
