Roles & Responsibilities

0-2 years of relevant engineering experience
Experience designing and developing 1-3 interior components/systems (e.g., molded plastics, seat structures/mechanisms, lighting, or interior system integration)
Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter, and DFMEA / DVP&R creation and execution
Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; ability to create and edit BOMs

Requirements:

Design, develop, validate, and manage timing and production release of interior components and systems (e.g., seat systems, structural components, trim, cockpit)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate interior system design and development
Support design validation and release processes, and contribute to continuous improvement of design and release workflows
Support component builds and manufacturing feasibility assessments to ensure design intent is realized in production

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Interiors Design & Release Engineer to join our team. As an Interiors Design & Release Engineer, you will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of interior components and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate design and development of interior systems, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the design and release processes.

Requirements

The Interiors D&R Engineer is responsible for the component and system level design, development, validation, timing and production release of the following areas: (Seat Systems, Structure & Components, TRIM, Cockpit

Basic Qualifications:

0- 2 yrs of relevant engineering experience
Experience designing and developing 1-3 of the following:

nj. mold plastics, seat structures/mechanisms, lighting, and/or interior system integration

Experience with injection molding, painting, or decorating plastic components
Experience with OEM or supplier design and release is a plus
Experience with NX, Catia V5, and Teamcenter
Experience with DFMEA, DVP&R creation and execution
Proficient in Excel, Word, Power Point.
Create adn edit BoM's
Experience with compontent builds and execution
Experience with production process feasibility and developement including mold flow analysis or other interior compontent manufacturing process

Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Science in Engineering or Business

Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Shaining Problem Solving

In plant launch experience
