Our department, Applied Cybersecurity, focuses cutting-edge problems in the foundations and applications of cryptography, including privacy‑enhancing technologies, secure and verifiable computation, and securing AI-driven system operating in adversarial environments. Your responsibilities in the Applied Cybersecurity department

• Research in the field of privacy‑enhancing technologies, secure and verifiable computation, and securing AI-driven system operating in adversarial environments
• Publishing scientific articles publishing in top cryptography and cybersecurity venues (A and A* CORE ranking)
• Mentoring early career researchers and teaching opportunities

What you contribute

• Completed an excellent doctorate in computer science
• Proven track record of excellent publications
• Expertise in cryptography and/or machine learning
• Leadership capabilities and ability to mentor early career researchers
• Independent and collaborative work capabilities
• Excellent English skill in written and oral language (German language skills are not required)

The weekly working time is 39 hours. This position is also available on a part-time basis.
