Requirements:

  • Manage day-to-day Azure platform operations, including infrastructure, networking, and platform services; monitor health, performance, and availability; coordinate patching and lifecycle management; troubleshoot incidents.
  • Lead monitoring, incident response, and post-incident reviews to improve platform reliability; ensure proactive detection and timely resolution with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  • Serve as operational liaison with managed hosting and compliance partners (e.g., ClearDATA); coordinate support activities, maintenance, escalation handling, and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish governance and standardization across Azure environments; maintain configuration consistency, create operational runbooks, and oversee infrastructure lifecycle management and onboarding for new clients.

Client is seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of the company's Azure-based cloud infrastructure and healthcare platform environment.

This role is responsible for maintaining the reliability, security, and operational stability of Delegate's cloud platform while coordinating operational activities across engineering teams, managed service providers, and infrastructure partners.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who is comfortable managing operational processes while also working directly with cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting incidents, and improving operational systems.

This role is 100% remote and supports a distributed engineering and operations organization.


Key Responsibilities

Azure Platform Operations

  • Manage day-to-day operation of Delegate's Microsoft Azure environment, including infrastructure, networking, and platform services.
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability across Azure workloads.
  • Coordinate patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of Azure infrastructure components.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and work directly within the Azure environment to resolve operational incidents.

Monitoring, Incident Response & Platform Reliability

  • Manage operational monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes.
  • Ensure platform issues are detected proactively through effective monitoring and alerting.
  • Lead incident response efforts and coordinate technical teams and vendors during service disruptions.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and implement improvements to reduce recurrence.

Managed Services & Vendor Coordination

  • Serve as the operational liaison with Delegate's managed hosting and compliance partners, including ClearDATA.
  • Coordinate support activities, infrastructure maintenance, and service escalations with external providers.
  • Ensure vendor capabilities are fully leveraged to support operational stability and regulatory requirements.

Platform Governance & Operational Standardization

  • Help establish standardized operational practices across infrastructure environments.
  • Maintain configuration consistency and environment standards across Azure resources.
  • Develop operational runbooks and procedures for common operational tasks and incidents.

Infrastructure Lifecycle Management

  • Coordinate onboarding and lifecycle management of infrastructure resources, environments, and integrations.
  • Maintain visibility into Azure resource utilization, infrastructure dependencies, and operational capacity.
  • Support infrastructure readiness for new hospital clients and platform integrations.

Security & Compliance Support

  • Support operational security practices within a HIPAA-regulated healthcare environment.
  • Coordinate vulnerability remediation, patching, and operational security controls.
  • Work with internal and external partners to maintain compliance alignment with HIPAA and customer security requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure or IT operations
  • Hands-on experience working directly with Microsoft Azure infrastructure
  • Experience supporting production SaaS or hosted application environments
  • Experience coordinating with managed service providers and infrastructure vendors
  • Strong understanding of networking, systems administration, and cloud infrastructure
  • Experience managing incident response and operational troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting healthcare or regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC2, HITRUST)
  • Experience with Azure monitoring tools, logging platforms, or SIEM systems
  • Familiarity with infrastructure automation and operational runbooks
  • Experience working with managed cloud operations providers

This is a hands-on technical role. While the position includes operational leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate will also work directly within the Azure environment to troubleshoot issues, review configurations, and support day-to-day platform operations.
