Job Description:
Highly experienced IT Project Manager to support enterprise IT security and compliance initiatives. This role is best suited for a seasoned, detail oriented project manager who excels in waterfall and hybrid delivery, thrives in regulated environments, and is comfortable driving accountability without direct authority.
This is not a technical or hands-on development role. The ideal candidate is a classic, disciplined project manager with strong follow through, executive level communication skills, and a proven track record managing high visibility, compliance driven initiatives.

Project Management Responsibilities:
Ensure the successful completion of assigned projects
Manage the scope of the projects
Resolve any issue that may hinder project success
Execute/implement the appropriate communications plan
Ensure that the appropriate processes and methodologies are adhered to
Manage appropriate levels of risk and budget reporting and tracking
Assist project managers and senior project managers in collective project tracking
Lead and manage enterprise IT security and compliance projects, including multi phase, multi year initiatives
Take ownership of an in flight project, ensuring scope, schedule, milestones, risks, and action items are actively managed
Track deliverables, risks, dependencies, and issues; proactively escalate concerns to project owners and stakeholders
Drive accountability across matrixed and shared resource teams without direct people management authority
Prepare and distribute clear agendas, meeting notes, and status updates with strong attention to timing and detail
Ensure project execution aligns with PMO governance, compliance, and documentation standards
Serve as a bridge between business and IT, helping translate objectives, risks, and impacts as needed

Other:
Represent the company in a professional manner at all times ensuring quality customer service
Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives of the company

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Good understanding of FEI and its business operations/practices
Strong PC skills; experience with MS Project
Strong time management and organizational skills
Good leadership and management skills
Knowledge in project management processes and methodologies
Possess good, general business and technical knowledge
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with all levels of associates
Proactive approach on the job
Facilitation—able to work within a group/team environment

Qualifications:
5–7 years of dedicated project management experience (project management must be the core role—not a stretch from another discipline)
BA or BS degree preferred, PMP certification – REQUIRED
Demonstrated experience managing large, high impact, enterprise initiatives
Experience operating within regulated or compliance driven environments
Proven ability to work with and present to senior leadership (Director/VP level)
Strong history of tenure and stability in prior roles (frequent short-term moves may be considered a red flag)

Intake Call Summary
Role Overview: IT Project Manager (also interchangeable with Enterprise PMO Project Manager)
Primary Focus: IT Security–related initiatives, heavily tied to compliance (federal/state)
Urgency: Immediate need
Duration/Scope: Multi‐year, high‐impact, compliance‐driven projects
Project Load:
    • 1 project to immediately take over (mid‐phase, high visibility)
    • 1–2 additional supporting projects
Required Experience & Background
5–7 years of dedicated project management experience (no “stretch” from dev or BA roles)
Strong preference for longer tenure history (avoid frequent short-term roles)
Experience working with senior leadership (Director/VP level)
Comfort operating in regulated/compliance environments
PMP certification – REQUIRED (not just preferred)

Methodology & Approach
Waterfall → Hybrid, Not Agile-heavy

Familiarity with PMO methodologies, governance, and compliance processes expected

  • Smartsheet (important)
  • SharePoint (basic document management)

  • Owns task tracking, follow-ups, risk identification, and escalation

  • Escalates when commitments could be or are going to be missed
