Senior Annuity Claim Examiner

Remote Position

The Senior Annuity Claim Examiner is responsible for managing annuity death claims from first notice through final payment while ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.

Senior Annuity Claim Examiner Responsibilities

  • Process annuity death claims from initial notification through final payment, including beneficiary validation, documentation review, adjudication, and payment authorization
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal policy requirements, including time-sensitive claim and payment standards
  • Document claim decisions, pending reasons, and detailed comments to support downstream processing, reporting, and audit readiness
  • Manage assigned workloads in Salesforce-based claims platforms and related systems, prioritizing tasks to meet service-level and regulatory commitments
  • Review and resolve reopens, referrals, and NIGO items in accordance with adjudication and quality procedures
  • Collaborate with Contact Center partners, Operations leadership, Technology teams, and external vendors
  • Meet evolving productivity, quality, and timeliness goals as systems and processes improve
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, recommending solutions, and adopting new tools and workflows
  • Use AI tools, including Copilot, to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making
  • Demonstrate adaptability during system migrations, process redesigns, and changing claim volumes

Senior Annuity Claim Examiner Overtime Requirement

  • Mandatory overtime is required during peak volume periods, system conversions, and other business-driven surges
  • The Annuity Death Claims Specialist must be willing and able to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed to meet operational and regulatory commitments

Senior Annuity Claim Examiner Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce-based platforms or CRM/claims systems
  • Knowledge of annuity or financial services regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with productivity metrics, quality standards, and performance scorecards
  • Comfort using AI-enabled tools, including Copilot or automation solutions
