Title: WellSky EHR Support Specialist
Location: Remote or Hybrid (Preference for New York or Florida based candidates)
Type: Contract or Contract-to-Hire
This is an opportunity to join a rapidly scaling healthcare organization that sits at the intersection of clinical care and modern technology. Operating across both New York and Florida, the company provides a collaborative environment where IT professionals work directly with frontline caregivers to improve patient outcomes. You will have a high degree of autonomy in managing a critical enterprise system and will be part of a team that values practical problem-solving over rigid corporate hierarchy. It is a stable, high-growth setting where your technical contributions have a tangible impact on community health services.
The organization is seeking a functional system expert to oversee the administration and clinical support of their primary electronic health record platform. This role serves as the essential bridge between the technical infrastructure and the clinical staff, ensuring that nurses and intake coordinators can utilize the system effectively to deliver care. Rather than high-level architecture, this position focuses on the hands-on optimization of workflows, troubleshooting real-time documentation hurdles, and configuring the platform to meet the needs of a diverse multi-state agency. The successful candidate will be the go-to resource for clinical users, providing guidance on best practices and ensuring data integrity across the platform.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience providing administrative support within the WellSky (Kinnser) EHR platform.
Proven experience working within a Home Health or Hospice environment with knowledge of clinical documentation requirements.
Ability to configure user permissions, security profiles, and agency settings within an EHR environment.
Experience troubleshooting clinical workflows related to intake, scheduling, and charting.
Demonstrated ability to translate technical system requirements into plain language for non-technical clinical staff.
Bonus/Soft Skills:
Background in clinical care
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patience and clear communication.
Ability to work independently in a remote capacity while maintaining high levels of responsiveness.
Analytical mindset with an interest in improving revenue cycle outcomes through system efficiency.
