Prowess Consulting is looking for an enthusiastic junior System Administrator/Test Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have skills in a variety of technologies including storage, compute, and networking. Strong trouble shooting and creative problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively to resolve issues.
To be considered for this role, you must reside in one of the following states: Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.
This is a full-time role with Prowess Consulting. This role can be worked remotely, however collaboration with teammates centered in the Pacific time zone will be essential. No third-party agencies, please.
THE ROLE

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
2+ years or working knowledge with scripting languages such as Python and Batch/Shell scripts
Ability to take clear notes and write concise technical documentation
Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing.
Must be able to work Pacific Time Zone
NICE TO HAVE
2+ years’ experience in a Windows environment
2+ years' experience with Linux Administration
1+ year experience in configuring enterprise storage
1+ year consumer hardware benchmarking and testing
2+ years with building sandbox and lab environments
Ability to conduct research to learn and understand new technologies
Additional experience in the following areas:
Kubernetes
AI/ML workloads
Microsoft SQL Server
MySQL
Virtualization such as Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV
Nginx
Redis
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The offered base pay range for this specific positing is $75,000 - 100,000 per year, DOE
Pay ranges are different for different work locations within the U.S., which allows for competitive pay and consistency in different states
