About the opportunity:
Digital health is advancing fast, and safe implementation has never been more important. As a CSO, you’ll play a key role in supporting the delivery of clinical safety activities across a range of innovative health technologies all while being coached by experienced CSOs who’ll help you develop confidence, capability, and autonomy.
In particular, you will:
- Provide advice and guidance to senior management and line managers Contribute to hazard logs, safety cases, and risk management plans across multiple digital health products
- Assist in the application of DCB0129 and DCB0160 for client organisations
- Support clinical incident review processes and help identify potential risks in digital systems
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe design, deployment, and use of health IT systems
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders while developing your professional confidence
- Escalate complex issues to senior CSOs and use these as learning opportunities
- Grow your understanding of medical device regulation, safety standards, and AI assurance frameworks over time
Who we are looking for:
- Active UK clinical registration
- Completion of the Clinical Risk Management training course (Desirable)
- A foundational understanding of safety cases, risk controls, and hazard identification
- Exposure to digital health whether through projects, service improvement, or direct system use
- Strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail
- A willingness to learn, take feedback, and build your capability step-by-step
