Description

CrazyLabs, a world-leading mobile game developer and publisher with over 7 billion downloads to date, is looking for a Unity Lead to join our Live Games team and work on our existing and future titles.

This position combines hands-on Unity work with technical leadership and mentorship. The ideal candidate brings deep Unity expertise, strong architectural thinking, and proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

You will take technical ownership of multiple portfolio games, setting engineering standards, reviewing code, optimizing performance, and supporting the growth and development of the Unity team.

In this position, you will also play a key role in leading and coordinating the Unity team’s work, collaborating closely with Product Managers, Game Designers, Artists, Analysts, and Monetization teams to ensure our games are scalable, high-performing, and built for long-term success.

As a Unity Team Lead you will:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Unity developers across live games
  • Own the technical architecture and long-term scalability of the games
  • Drive feature development from concept to production and live environment
  • Ensure high code quality, maintainability, and best engineering practices
  • Optimize game performance (CPU, GPU, memory, build size, loading times, crashrate issues)
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Art, Monetization, and Analytics teams
  • Improve development workflows, tools, and technical standards
  • Support live operations, feature iterations, and continuous improvements
  • Take part in hiring and building a strong Unity team



Requirements

Unity Team Lead role requires:

  • 5+ years of experience as Unity developer (C# – Must)
  • 2+ years experience leading and managing development teams
  • Strong Unity experience in mobile game development (Android & iOS – Must)
  • Experience in the full mobile game development lifecycle (prototype to live ops)
  • Experience working with AI tools and being AI-driven in development processes (e.g., AI-assisted coding, optimization, automation, or gameplay systems)
  • Strong understanding of game architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles
  • Deep experience in profiling and performance optimization (CPU/GPU)
  • Experience working with Git in a multi-developer environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset
  • Curiosity and openness to leveraging AI technologies to improve development efficiency, performance, and innovation
  • Experience working on live games with large-scale user bases
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
  • Knowledge of shaders and rendering pipelines
  • Experience integrating analytics, A/B testing, and monetization systems
  • Backend integration experience
