Context/ ROLE

As a test engineer, you will join a selected team of highly skilled developers and engineers creating cutting-edge products in the payment transaction processing space. 

The products you will be working on are dedicated to support our core business and grow as well to provide accessibility and an ease of use for our customer.  

Your position includes designing and executing test cases. This includes creating test books and test concepts, communicate and align these concepts with other experts and work to improve our test procedures.  

Position SCOPE & Key Responsibilities

»  Ability to understand and test Users Stories based on the defined acceptance criteria.

»  Conduct manual testing of applications, focusing on API functionality, performance, and reliability.

»  Develop and execute comprehensive test cases and test plans to ensure complete test coverage.

»  Execute regression tests before each release to validate existing functionality and ensure no new issues are introduced.

»  Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity and back-end functionality.

»  Collaborate with development and product teams to understand application features and create comprehensive test plans.

»  Maintain clear and thorough documentation of test processes, results, and defect reports.

»  Assist in the identification of test automation opportunities and contribute to test automation efforts as necessary.

»  Keeping updated with the latest industry developments.

Required skills & profile

Experience

»  Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on manual testing methodologies.

»  Proficient in API testing tools and techniques, along with strong SQL skills.

»  Basic programming knowledge (e.g., Java, Python, etc.) to support automation efforts and enhance testing efficiency.

»  Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

»  Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

»  A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory.

»  Fluent English language skills are a required.

»  A team player, always eager to learn new skills and technologies.

»  Willingness to discover new and complex topics.

»  Goal-oriented way of working and pronounced willingness to perform.
